Feathers. Usually the reserve of our flying friends to help them fly and to keep them warm.
But not today!
Feathers can be used in so many different aspects of a wedding...The one that I think works most beautifully (and one I would so very much heart to see) is the bride's own wedding day style. From sporting them in her hair (don't worry, not in a Carrie Bradshaw "whole bird whopped on the side of your head" style!), to feathery dresses, shrugs and shoes. For you extra bold brides out there, you could even feather up your lashes!
If you love a feather but don't want them literally hanging off you, you could always use them as part of your table décor, mixing in with your centrepieces or printing names on them to use as name places.
For the DIY bride, how about stringing them together and hanging them from the rafters of your wedding venue...or, drumroll please, use them as confetti...how amazing would that be to see? Having your "we've just gone and tied the knot kiss" with feathers fluttering all around...Sigh!
Feathers will make your wedding fly up up and away!
